People don't work on Sundays

I couldn't sleep well this weekend either. Perhaps I was too excited about trying a new digital TV tuner card I borrowed from El Corte Inglés [ :) ] on Friday evening after signing the contract with the broadband and phone provider ONO. The aerial in my building hasn't been optimised for digital television reception (yet) and I could only get MUX 58 (770 MHz) [two new national channels] and 50 (706 MHz) [four new local channels], although the latter channels vanished as the weather improved and I was left with just two more channels in all [click here for a list of all the digital channels in Madrid]. I tried to increase my channel list by buying two indoor aerials, neither of which could find any digital signal at all. All they could detect was an analog channel with Latin American preachers hollering and singing for money. I wonder whether my subconscious can perceive that "one" signal that gets into my flat and it perturbs my sleep.

I saw a sticker at a bus stop in Moncloa this morning. I thought it was funny and took a picture of it.

PS. My laptop's screen is damaged and it's out of warranty. A 6cm-wide vertical band appeared in the middle of the display yesterday evening. My workmate Tania, who worked for Dell in the past, suggested several reasons for it, and it turned out to be the worst scenario. I might need to buy a new display for no less than 900 euros -labour not included- (about the same price as a 26" Sony Bravia LCD TV screen - mmmh). Tomorrow I'm taking the laptop to a specialist. Hopefully I'll know for sure what's wrong with it and whether it can be fixed - and whether it can get worse if I don't do anything.

PPS. This weekend I saw Boris Izaguirre at Fnac Callao, Valery Karpin at the El Corte Inglés car park at Nuevos Ministerios and the shooting of two films (maybe two scenes of the same film) on Calle de Alberto Aguilera and Plaza de Cibeles :)
